…and bearing in mind this was my first attempt at buying a straw western style hat (I have Akubra), I was baffled by how rigid this is, and sat on top of my head like a bucket on a stick - not wearable at all and no sense it would mould to my head.
Nice colour and quality though.
I’ll try again when I can be in-store, as I live remote and obviously need to try on a few!

How to shape your new hat- Try the hat on first – Check that it sits comfortably and securely on your head.
- Adjust the brim gently – If you prefer the sides slightly more curved, use both hands to carefully adjust the brim. Do not force or sharply bend it.
- Avoid reshaping the crown – The crown is pre-shaped and should generally be left as manufactured.
- Avoid soaking the hat – Excessive moisture can weaken or distort the straw.
- Allow the hat to settle – Wearing it regularly will help you become accustomed to its fit, although the straw will not necessarily stretch or mould to your head.
Important: You do not need to steam or wet the hat before wearing it for the first time.
